The REACH for Nepal not for profit foundation was established here in Canberra in September 2015 in response to the devastating earthquakes earlier that year.  The purpose of the foundation is to rebuild communities and schools in rural and remote areas of the country most affected by the earthquake.  The foundation completed 3 significant projects in 2016, and the Canberra Times ran an article on the foundation in the Saturday 15th April 2017 edition of the paper.

The purpose of this correspondence is to invite you & the team to the inaugural REACH for Nepal Annual Gala Fundraising evening at the Albert Hall in Canberra on Thu, 31st August 2017.  As a significant organisation here in Canberra, it would be a great opportunity to get up to speed with the work the foundation has undertaken since its inception, and its plans for the future.

It is expected 300 people will be attending the evening and we have invited (yet to be confirmed) VIPs to attend the event.  We will also invite the press to attend, with the aim to gain some media profile not only of the work of the foundation, but also the local businesses supporting the foundation.

We should say that since the appointment of Kim Brennan AM (2016 Olympic Gold Medallist) as the ambassador for the foundation and the recent feature article in the Canberra Times on the work that the foundation is doing in Nepal, there has been a sharp increase in interest from other organisations looking to work with us.

The event starts at 6:00 pm and will conclude at 10:00 pm and will consist of a two-course Nepalese meal, an update on the projects undertaken by the foundation, Nepalese Cultural dance and speeches.  The format of the evening is outlined below and the cost for a table for 10 people is $350 & we are taking any donations that will come our way. There will be live auctions as well as silent auctions on the night and all proceeds for the evening will be passed onto the foundation.

Start date:
Thursday, 31 August 2017 - 6:00pm to 10:00pm
Unlimited slots left.
