If you want to get out of Canberra for a bit but can’t give up your whole weekend, this is the hike for you!
Mt Tennant, located just south of Tuggeranong, is a three hour hike on well maintained trails with amazing views of the Murrumbidgee Valley. It follows part of the Australian Alps walking track, winding up through a range of environments including boulder fields and open grassy bushland.
Come along for a beautiful half day hike, only 30 minutes drive from the uni.
Bring water, sun protection and a snack
Costs:
$5 for petrol
Intended plan:
Meet outside ANU sport at 8am, drive to Namadgi Visitors Centre, walk up and down Mt Tennant, drive back to campus.
Local knowledge:
I have done this hike before. The whole hike is signposted and on a clear path.
Unlimited slots left.
