Dawn Morno on the BM is a weekly short walk initiated by Ristian Atriandi. To quote him:
"Is there a better idea than staying in bed at dawn this winter? Of course there is! Nothing is better than to welcome the first light of the day amid crisp, blue sky and the fresh, cold morning air as the winter fog begins to dissipate.
Mornos (morning coffee/tea and light breakfast) is the way to start the day. The smell of freshly brewed coffee, gentle morning breeze and ambience of the bush is something one should anticipate with great relish. Aside from being another social platform for club members to meet and greet, mornos can help us better appreciate the virtues of living in the bush capital.
For this winter, mornos commence from 6.30 until around 8.00. Those keen to join can come and leave at anytime, but should bring their own coffee/tea and light breakfast to share among the group."
The leadership of this trip is based on a rotational and voluntary basis. I am taking over this week. I will be in front of the main entrance of the National Botanic Gardens on the Clunies Ross St at 6.20am and we can walk from there together. The morno takes place on the spur above the "viewing platform" (https://goo.gl/maps/RbFrFDQoiDM2) located at the end of the Bushland Nature Walk (https://parksaustralia.gov.au/botanic-gardens/pub/bushland-nature-walk.pdf). Climb the spur by following the power lines toward the road.
