ANUMC Awards night (and AGM)

You are invited to the Annual ANUMC awards night. Please sign up for catering purposes! (Seriously, do!)

There will be a number of awards presented on the night including the 'The Axe' award and the annual awards for Trip Leader of the Year, Beginner of the Year and Up and Coming Trip Leader of the year. We will also judge the best photos taken in 2018!

If you have been on a ANUMC trip this year, there's a strong possibility that you could also be nominated for any number of our awards!

We will also be holding the Annual General Meeting as expeditiously as possible throughout the course of the evening.

Time: 6:00pm for 6:15pm start
Venue: Balthazaar (in the former UniPub building)
Drinks and food will be provided. Everyone is invited to stay afterwards for dinner.

 


Nominations for the 2019 executive positions are now open. An executive position is a great way to meet fellow club members, contribute to decision making and become more involved in running such an awesome club. It also looks great on the CV.  

The executive positions are:

  • President

  • Vice President (and trip convenor)

  • Treasurer

  • Secretary

  • Social Officer

  • General Officers x 2

The running of the club benefits from new people and fresh ideas, so don't be shy about nominating! We are particularly in need of students, as the club aims to balance students and non-students on the executive and ensure our decisions reflects the needs of both. No experience is necessary for any of the positions - in particular, you don't need to be 'good' at outdoor activities.

You can nominate, for as many positions as you like, preferably before the AGM simply by emailing me - first h last at gmail (no 'sales pitch' required). Nominations will also be taken at the AGM and the new executive will be voted upon by current ANUMC members present at the AGM.

The remainder of the 2019 Committee will then be established in the weeks after the AGM.
