Climb with Tommy Caldwell and Kevin Jorgensen at ANU
Do you want to know what kind of climb would make Adam Ondra exclaim “A combination of aid climbing, French-freeing* and fear got me to the top”?

Do you want to hear about what it feels like to do a down-climb graded at 32/33 and described as “awkward, powerful and insecure”?

Do you want to see two of the world’s best climbers battle it out against the hardest routes ever set on the ANUMC Climbing Wall?

If you answered yes to any of the above then you should come to the ANU Sports Hall on 23 July because Tommy Caldwell and Kevin Jorgensen will be visiting…. holllaaaaa

Yes, the two world class climbers-come-blockbuster film stars thanks to their hugely publicized first ascent of the Dawn Wall and eponymous film, the Dawn Wall, will be at the ANUMC Climbing Wall to talk about climbing.

They will also be mingling amongst the crowd and trying their hardest to send the beasty routes our professional ANUMC route setters are currently setting for them.

They’ll be grading the routes and awarding the best route. You’ll be able to climb on the night as well and get the chance to give the mega hard routes a go (so bring your harness and shoes).
There will be a BBQ, beers and stalls.

The event is family friendly and open to everyone – even if you’re not a climber.

The event will be supporting Kevin Jorgensen’s 1Climb charity and Duncan Brown’s Australian Olympic climbing squad.
