If you have ever paddled a river in a kayak or raft, you will understand the need to develop your knowledge and skills regarding river safety. As part of the ANUMC ongoing skills training for paddlers/adventure racers we are offering a two day course for beginners and for many experienced paddlers who wish to maintain their paddling knowledge and skill set. This course is designed to build confidence and capability of paddlers. Your participation in this course will make your next and subsequent trips down the river a much more enjoyable and safer experience. This course provides ESSENTIAL TRAINING for beginner paddlers who have not had any structured training in a river environment. You may be denied participation in future paddling trips by trip leaders if you pass up this great opportunity to develop a wide range of essential paddling skills.

The course will be conducted by a certified instructor (details TBA). The location of this course will be nearby Canberra (details TBA).

This is a  2-day Swiftwater First Responder course.
