Start date:
Saturday, 1 August 2020 - 2:00pm

Are you new to Canberra and keen to explore some of our incredible walking trails? Or are you keen to get outdoors post covid and meet other outdoorsy people? Whatever your background, join us for this Come and Try Bushwalking trip to get a taste of what the ANU Mountaineering Club has to offer.

We will meet at the gate on Antill Street just to the south of the Antill Street/Aspinall Street intersection (there is an informal dirt parking area here). From here we will take the Clancy Track up to the firetrail that runs below Mt Majura, then head up the power line track to Mt Majura Roa dnad on up to the summit of Mt Majura. From ther top there are wonderful views of north Canberra, and across to the Brindabellas to the west of Canberra. From here we will head along the ridge and down a walking track back to the fire trail, back to the carpark and gate. Distance is approximately 7-8km, with about 300m of elevation gains.

This trip is suitable for walkers of all levels, as long as you don't mind some uphill walking.
