Mt Palerang Circuit

Trip type:
Bushwalking
Difficulty:
Medium
Start date:
Sunday, 12 April 2015 - 8:00am to 6:00pm

Mt Palerang (1264m), part of the Great Dividing Range, is in Tallaganda National Park west of Captain's Flat, about an hour from Canberra.

The circuit is about 25km with 900 metres of elevation. We will be following well developed fire trails for the most part, with two creek crossings. It will involve some rock scrambling and possibly bush bashing to the summit. We'll have (hopefully) good views from the summit and a nice spot for lunch. The difficulty is medium and is suitable for fit beginners.

There will be no pre-trip. More details will be sent out to participants leading up to the trip. The trip is dependent on weather conditions and transport.
