ANUMC Awards night (and AGM)

You are invited to the Annual ANUMC awards night. Please sign up for catering purposes! (Seriously, do!)

There will be a number of awards presented on the night including the 'The Axe' award and the annual awards for Trip Leader of the Year, Beginner of the Year and Up and Coming Trip Leader of the year. We will also judge the best photos taken in 2019!

If you have been on a ANUMC trip this year, there's a strong possibility that you could also be nominated for any number of our awards!

Expedition and Adventure Fund Slide Night

Come one, come all to the first annual ANUMC Slide Night. Over pizza and drinks, audience members will have the opportunity - NAY - the privilege! to learn from some of the club’s most grizzled and experienced expedition leaders in almost any activity you could think of: Climbing, Packrafting, Mountaineering, Hiking and Canyoning. These experts will be talking about their experiences organising, running and leading these awesome adventures, as well as some pointers for applying to the Expedition and Adventure Funds.

Climbing Trip Leader's Info Evening

We'll meet at the gear store after the climbing wall shuts (around 7:15).


We need more people to lead climbing trips! This information evening is for anyone who is keen to lead a climbing trip, or capable of leading a climbing trip. We want to get some feedback from you, and give you all the information you need to lead trips.

WCI: O-Week Afternoon Tea and Climb

This is the first Women's Climbing Initiative event of the year! We will be having some baked goods on Fellows Oval (near the BBQ area), plus some possible hula hooping and slack-lining. Following afternoon tea, we'll head to the climbing wall at 4pm together for some climbs. It will be a chance to meet other female climbers at ANU and find out how you can get involved in the climbing community!

Social Training Evening - Activity Officers

Venue: Euan‘s place

This evening is mostly for activity officers (activity officers are the Bushwalking, Canyoning, Climbing, Mountain Biking, XC Skiing, Mountaineering, White Water Kayaking, Sea Kayaking, and Orienteering & Rogaining officers) although all are welcome to attend, especially if you want to learn more about the club or you’re interested in being an activity officer in the future. The main focus will be on trip authorisation and safety matters. There will be beer, ciders and BBQ.
