cliving
noun
The sport or activity of climbing and diving in succession
“Anna and Lucas planned a great cliving trip.”
Hello friends,
We’re planning an awesome cliving trip in late November. We will be driving to the Sunshine coast cliving along the way in the Blue Mountains, South West Rocks, Byron Bay, Mooloolaba and Glasshouse Mountains as well as partaking in a secret fun activity (non cliving) on the Gold Coast. We will be camping everywhere (if possible).
To come on this trip you must at a minimum know how to lead belay (or learn how to before coming). You do not need your diving licence and can just snorkel (you will be on a clorkeling trip instead of a cliving trip).
clorkeling
noun
The sport or activity of climbing and snorkelling in succession
“Anna and Lucas planned a great cliving trip but I didn’t know how to clive so I went clorkeling instead.”
Some things to note: please only sign up if you are definitely planning on coming and can commit to the entire trip (all dates). If you want to meet us there, let us know by emailing/messaging Lucas or Anna. You are more than welcome to join, you will just need to organise your own transport.
What you will need to bring:
• Climbing Shoes
• Harness
• Helmet
• Belay Device
• Sling (or other form of safety)
• Camping gear
These can all be hired from the gear store.
If you have ropes/draws/diving gear/snorkelling gear you should also bring them. You should be able to hire diving/snorkelling gear while we’re up there. We will supply some ropes and draws.
If you have a car and are willing to take it, please let us know. The number of people we take will depend on the number of cars going. We really want to be able to take everyone, but we may not be able to because of cars.
When you sign up, please tell us your climbing experience, any diving experience and whether you have your open water licence.
In the spirit of cliving (and her last name), Anna will be dressing up as Clive Palmer for the entirety of the trip.
XOXO
