From there it is a quick walk to the crag overlooking the Queanbeyan River. Once there we will provide basic abseiling instruction for single and double ropes. The intent is to finish by 12:30.
Participants will need to collect the following gear from the gearstore before Sunday:
- Helmet
- Canyoning harness (with safety line)
- Belay device (Figure 8 or ATC)
- 2 locking carabiners
Trainee Trip Leaders will also need the above plus:
- 3rd locking carabiner
- 1 clipgate carabiner
- 120cm x 5mm prusik cord (looped)
- 120cm sling, or PAS, or short safety line
I will take care of group equipment.
There will be no pre-trip meeting. Please indicate if you have a car and are willing to drive and I will advise the other participants.
If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact me.
