NOTE: This is an advanced trip with a high risk profile. Prospective participants should be experienced in mountaineering disciplines, including mixed trad and alpine climbing. Participation in this trip will be limited and subject to organiser discretion regarding relative capability and commitment.
This trip represents a revival of Daniel Comber-Todd's 2020 planned mountaineering trip to the Ala Archa Range in Kyrgyzstan's Tian Shan Mountains. Details of the original trip proposal can be found at the following link: http://anumc.org.au/files/2019%20Ala%20Archa%20Cragging.pdf
Participants will take part in a modified version of the original plan, departing for Bishkek by plane in Mid-June and returning in late July. Safety protocols outlined in the initial trip proposal will be retained. Objectives may be changed, however, subject to participant skillsets and interests. The relative centrality of the Ala Archa Range's Korona Hut means participants can be fairly flexible in what objectives they choose to pursue, as well as how long they stay. A major part of involvement in this trip (such as flights) will also have to be self-organised, in coordination with other participants.
This is an expression of interest form only. More details to come!
