Archived trip from old website run by Kate Ferguson
This trip is for people new to climbing if you are experienced please don't take one of the spots without talking to me first.
**You can only sign up to this trip or the trip on Sunday. If you sign up to both you will be removed.**
We will be heading to Snake Rock for some beginner training. This trip is open to people who have never climbed outdoors before or are new to climbing outdoors and want to perfect their skills. We will be setting up top ropes on the easier climbs and teaching people to belay outdoors. For those that are keen we will cover how to lead climb and lead belaying.
If people came on my last beginner trip we can also cover some more advanced outdoor skills such as cleaning routes if we think you are ready.
**Please let me know your climbing experience when signing up. This is important. If you don't include your experience when signing up I will assume you haven't read the trip description and you will be removed from the trip. **
Snake Rock is a smallish granite crag only ~40 minutes south of Canberra. There's a good range of climbing, with a number of climbs in the 13-18 range and some harder stuff as well. The approach is a steepish 20 minute uphill hike/scramble.
