Its The long weekend so whats a better time to go climbing in the Blue Mountains
This is for intermediate climbers meaning you must be completely self sufficient
and must have your own draws rope and equipment and know how to use them!!
or at least have a partner who does ;)
We will camp at megalong valley camp ground
Leaving from SRA at 6pm on Friday
and returning around 830pm on Monday night
Day 1 climbing at Shiply and Centennial glen
Day 2 Climbing The Freezer
Day 3 Mount York (Wentworth Gully) trad/sport
Day 3 will be a easy day with some lite trad climbing if u wish or there is some sport climbing there too
No Pre trip
You will need to bring at a minimum:
Climbing harness
Climbing shoes
Belay device (and locking carabiner) preferably auto locking (mega juls) you can hire these from the club
Helmet
Tent
Sleeping mat
Sleeping bag
Sunscreen
Insect repellant
trad rack
rope
Draws
*** Caret Plates***
Most of the above can be hired from the gear store. You'll also need to bring food and water for each day and some money for pub food for dinner.
we are intending to cook at the campground for Saturday and Sunday
