This Trip is for those who attended the previous trad trips
more advanced techniques and skills will be learnt such as setting up anchors, prussicking and other vital safety for multi pitch trad climbing
***** This trip will be a Prerequisite to join Hay Ho ITS off to ARAPS we go!! ****
You will need to organise yourself to meet at snake Rock on Saturday @ 12:30pm. there is about a 15min walk in.
once there we will go over safety at a crag and review gear placements and rope skills
You will Need: (all can be hired from the gear store)
climbing harness
climbing shoes
helmet
chalk is useful
2 locking carabiner
autolocking belay device if you have one, but we will provide one for the trip (don't buy one if you haven't already as we will go over some useful information about them)
insect repellent
sunscreen
2 safety slings 60cm or cows tail
Most of the above can be hired from the gear store. You'll also need to bring food and water for the day
You will also need comfortable clothing, shoes suitable for bushwalking (sneakers are fine), sun protection, water, snacks and lunch. If you have a personal first aid kid, it would be a good idea to bring it.
