Climbing at Blue Lake is some of the most atmospheric granite climbing in Australia. This trip offers you a chance to climb there!

To come, you will need to be a moderately experienced sport climber able to lead and clean a sport route (any grade - we won't be pushing them on this trip) and preferably have done some multip-pitch climbing. You will need to have all personal climbing gear (own or hire from gear store: helmet, harness, shoes, carabiners, prussics, slings, chalk is optional). You will also need to be comfortable camping in cold and wet weather in an alpine environment (most of the gear you need can be hired from the club).
Depending on participant mood, we will either camp near the creek before the Blue Lake turn-off (usual climbers walk in-camp site) or at Island Bend (car camping). We'll figure this out by phone or email so you know what to bring.
Any sign ups are expressions of interest only and participation will depend on the mix of available leaders and experience. If I haven't climbed with you before, please email (or better yet, call) me to let me know your climbing and camping experience. Even if I have climbed with you, we may still not have enough leaders for you to come.
Climb both days; explore area if there is interest.
