Archived trip from old website run by Melanie Stamell
Saturday Orienteering 10 - 13:30.
These events are usually attended by lots of ANUMC orienteers. ANUMC members also get a discounted entry fee.
See http://act.orienteering.asn.au/events/?EventID=3678 for more details.
You'll need a compass and clothes suitable for running around parkland.
-----------------------Discount Instructions------------------------------------------
ANUMC members get special rates: $10 for employed people and $7 for students. In order to get these discounted rates you follow these simple instructions:
1. Register your personal details on eventor (http://eventor.orienteering.asn.au). This means following the steps until the end of screen 6 (and no further) in the 'registering as an Eventor User' file. More specifically, select 'create account' (left hand side) then select the 'I am or want to be a member....." toggle button (the first in the list of 4) then fill out as many details as possible.
2. Email Bob (robert.mouatt@netspeed.com.au) and Jill (office@act.orienteering.asn.au) saying that you are a member of ANUMC and have registered on eventor. Then they will make you a member of the orienteering club 'ANUMC' on eventor.
3. Put down MC-A on the rego forms for orienteering events and claim members' rates.
It's a bit of an ordeal, but worth it for the discount!
