Archived trip from old website run by Mark Euston
Whitewater paddling trip on the Pt Hut-Pine Island section of the Murrumbidgee. The section is Grade 1-2 so it's suitable for first time whitewater paddlers, but not suitable for new paddlers. You'll need to confident paddling on flat water and know how to wet exit.
It'll be cold so bring a wetsuit if you have one or good thermals. Neoprene gloves are good if you have them. Bring footwear such as neoprene booties or dunlop volleys - paddling barefoot won't be allowed.
Meet at the boat shed at 9am, Saturday
Paddle the Pt Hut section. Potentially a smaller group will continue on to the Red Rocks section. In which case the Pt Hut only group will know of our plans and we will inform them of when we are out.
