Sorry all, this trip is now cancelled due to injury.
At the 'so you want to be a climbing trip leader' meeting, we discussed having a leaders trip so we could get to know each other, climb with each other, and plot our adventures for the coming season. Here is that trip!
The plan is for everyone to meet at ANU sports hall at 8am saturday morning, pack ourselves into the cars and drive out to corin road (tidbinbilla). We'll then take our gear and walk into snake rock, a 10-20 minute walk through the bush. The climbing is mostly sport, with a good range of grades. More details can be found on The Crag.
At the end of the day we'll head back to uni, hopefully full of plans for trips this season :)
It's expected that you are either a climber who attended the meeting, or a climber who has led trips before in the club. if you are neither of these, but you want to come, you must be an experienced climber who is capable of lead climbing, lead belaying, and cleaning sport routes. Preference will be given to climbers who attended the meeting.
Please leave your climbing experience in the details box along with any ropes/quickdraws you're intending on taking if you own such (so I don't hire extra)
The trip will go ahead if a couple of people with cars sign up. If you have a car you're willing to drive, please let me know, as I don't have one.
Leave anu 8am, arrive corin rd 9.30 ish. Walk to snake rock, climb for the day, walk back to cars, drive home. Sketch map of snake rock area is on The Crag.
