Have canceled trip on the ANUMC calendar as I am no longer attending. The event will still take place though.

The annual Fitz's Challenge will be held on Sunday 30 October 2016!
The Pedal Power ACT organised event features five different hilly and challenging course distances for cyclists to ride within a supported environment. The five course distances – 50 km, 105 km, 165 km, 210 km and 255 km – are set across Canberra’s beautiful Brindabella Ranges and includes ascents to some of the highest points in the ACT. More information is available at: http://www.fitzs.com.au/.
ANUMC participants are eligible for competition subsidy. Conditions of the subsidy are available at: http://anumc.org.au/members/anumc-funding#competition-fund (N.B subsidy equates to between $40-$55 and is reimbursed after the event directly by the ANUMC) Please wear your ANUMC T-shirt if you have one to advertise the club at this event!

Registration:
To register for this event please sign up on the ANUMC website. You will also need to register (and pay) on the event organiser's website. See: http://www.fitzs.com.au/registration/
I am intending to register closer to the day of the event once I have a better idea of forecast weather conditions for the event. I'm not too keen to ride in the rain! I will advise everyone by 26 October what my plans are.
Online registrations close midnight 27 October. Entry on the day is allowed however attracts a $15 surcharge.
Other things to note:
The event organisers require that participants’ helmets are checked for an Australian Standard sticker. Participants need to ensure the helmet they choose has an Australian Standard sticker, and be prepared to present it during helmet check by event officials on the day.
The Event Organisers' conditions of entry (including fitness requirements) are outlined at: http://www.fitzs.com.au/conditions_of_entry/
