Consider the Nowra trip that's about to be posted instead.
The not-so-new (yeah, I'm recycling a trip description) guide to the Northern Slabs is out! (http://www.canberraclimbing.org.au/routes--guides/climbing-guides.aspx) Let's go explore the Far North: mostly low grade multi-pitches which (hopefully) have (at least some) protection. The grade is "Hard" because it's exploratory.
Bring some food, water, a jacket, and a head torch. You'll need to have all the usual trad gear (including helmet - mandatory) and a yearning for adventure. We may get lost, or we may get very lost. (It has taken me longer to find a climb there than drive to Nowra before.) We'll aim to start at least one climb on the slabs (and if I can find some beta we may venture towards some cracks on Darwin Buttress too). Bring a sense of humour. We probably won't get lost too badly.
This trip is only suitable for people with trad experience. Once we split into climbing parties, each party must be self-sufficient (and we may not meet again till lunch or the end of the day). It might be hot and slabby so camelbacks and water to fill them up with between climbs is a good idea. Long sleeves and pants are suggested for slabs.
All sign ups are expressions of interest only and I'll be in touch. If I haven't climbed with you, please email me with a bit about your climbing history and whom you've climbed with in the club.
Go to Booroomba and climb some stuff. Return.
