The Canberra Cross-Country Ski Club (CCCS) is hosting a come and try day at the cross-country park in Perisher. This is a great opportunity to learn cross-country or telemark or All-Terrain (AT) skiing in a fun environment. Hopefully there will be enough snow on the day. If not, the back-up plan is to go to Selwyn and practise skiing on the pistes there (where there will be some nicely groomed man-made snow). If the snow is bad, we will postpone the trip for a better saturday.
Meeting point will be in Wanniassa at 6:30am for a quick stopover at Cooma to ether location.
This trip is suitable for absolute beginners to any of the above skiing at a time where there is probably little snow to do much else.
You will need to bring clothing suitable for skiing and skis, boots and poles. Hiring at the gear store can be arranged during the pre-trip meeting.
Drive cars to cross-country area at Perisher.
