***Do not register for the CORC course until you have confirmation you will receive the subsidy***
Canberra Off Road Cyclists (CORC) run good skills courses for all abilities, from first timers to experts. The next 6 week long course starts on the 12th of February and will be run at Mount Stromlo. Here are the course details, please read it all carefully and let me know if you have any questions. Registration for the course closes on the 5th of February.
The ANUMC will be providing a subsidy of 60% of the course fee where the participant is a student and 40% where the participant is a non student. You will have to pay the full course fee upfront to CORC and then seek your subsidy as a reimbursement from the club.
The subsidy funding will cover 4-6 participants depending on student/non-student mix. To be considered for the course subsidy you will need to:
- have/have access to a functioning mountain bike.
- be able to attend all 6 sessions.
- Have a valid MTBA License. There is a free 2 month trial membership which you can sign up to before the course.
- When you sign up to this trip, give a short description on how you will give back to the club after the course using your new mtb skills.
I will then let you know if you will receive the subsidy and ask you to register for the course with CORC. Do not register for the CORC course until you have received that confirmation.
