Hi all,
I will be heading to the blue mountains weather permitting for a weekend of canyoning, departing canberra early Friday evening and returning sunday evening.
This trip is suitable for people who have canyoned previously or have reasonable abseil skills and are able to deal with tricky starts (low anchors, overhangs etc). The two proposed canyons are Water Dragon (near Mt Wilson) for Saturday and Better Offer in the Grose Valley on Sunday. Details of each can be found here:

We will camp at Mt Wilson on Friday and Saturday evening. The intent will be to leave camp by 0800 each day to allow reasonable time to complete each canyon and return to Canberra not too late on Sunday.
Happy to have up to six in the party (subject to a suitable ratio of experienced to less experienced participants).
Saturday - 0800 depart camp, down Wollangambe 1 exit track, cross Wollangambe up opposite ridge, drop down west off the ridge into Water Dragon canyon, exit involves swim of 500m downstream along the Wollangambe then exit back to Cathedral of Ferns via Wollangambe 1 exit track and fire trail.
Sunday - 0800 leave camp, drive to Bells Line of Road, walk south down the fire trail and then onto footpad into canyon, exit under the cliffline heading south east then up the gully out of birrabang brook back onto the ridge and back to the cars.
