Hello,
This is a follow on from our outdoor climbing workshops for women/non-binary climbers!!
We'll be climbing at Tianjara, a two hour drive from Canberra https://www.thecrag.com/climbing/australia/nowra/new-nowra-braidwood-road/area/12017995. We'll drive up either the Friday night or early Saturday morning, and return Sunday night. We'll be camping.
There will be the opportunity to practice lead, and also top rope climb. This is a trip for girls who have been on one of the outdoor trips already, or are already experienced outdoor climbers. The climbing is significantly harder than that at Wickerslack Crag, so sign up if you're keen to push it on harder grades than what we did at the Beginners Workshop. We're expecting you to be confident tying in, and belaying on an ATC at minimum.
We can make an exception for a limited number of beginners who have been climbing at the indoor gym consistently since at least the start of the year, but please send me a message and count your sign up as an expression of interest until we've chatted.
You must bring a harness, climbing shoes, helmet, belay device (ATC or GriGri) and a locking carabiner. These can all be rented from the ANUMC Gear Store open 6-6.30 on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Also will need to bring camping gear and food/water for the weekend.
If you could also PLEASE LEAVE YOUR EXPERIENCE IN THE COMMENTS, along with your phone number/email, if you are able to drive and have a car and if you can bring a rope and quickdraws. I will otherwise assume you haven't read the trip description and remove your registration. Spots on the trip will depend on the number of drivers and lead climbers, so signing up does not guarantee a place (but we should be able to make it work!)

Driving up to Tianjara either Friday night or Saturday morning, climb on Sat/Sun and camping at a local campsite. Driving home Sunday night.
