Buckle up motherf*****s its gonna be a bumpy ride.
The pitch:
You, me and a couple of cars drive to the Grampians.
Things to expect:
Loads of climbing. There's a variety of sport, bouldering and trad although I don't have experience with trad so depends on the experience of interested parties.
Loads of hiking. Again it'll be national parks galore, some day hikes maybe an overnight depending on time and interest. We'll be passing through Mt Buffalo and Flinders Ranges to name a few.
Beaches for dayzzzz (obligatory Great Ocean Road)
Note: You can join on at any point of the trip if you just want to do the first leg or two or the last one. Just let me know.
The Nitty Gritty:
Itinerary:
The trip will take a week. We'll make our way directly to the Grampians on Wednesday the 13th, spend 4 days there then pop down to the Great Ocean Road staying in the Great Ottoway NP. Then make our way home along the eastern Victorian seaboard.
Notes:
We will be keeping the costs low and free camping where possible. Camp cooking will be the norm. Destinations and time stayed at them are flexible and suggestions are welcome.
The number of people will be determined by the number of cars available.
Climbing experience is not necessary, although a general level of enthusiasm is preferred.
Gear required:
Personal climbing gear (shoes, harness, helmet, ATC, safety - all can be hired from the club)
Walking/hiking shoes
Personal camping (tent, sleeping mat, bag, cooking things)
A good attitude.
Minimum participants: 4 (I'll kill Tim if it's just him and I)
Max:12 -16 (too unwieldly otherwise)
Estimated Cost: $700- 1000
Peace and love my friends I hope you want to come with me.
Verity xx
