A relatively easy walk to the spectacular Corang rock arch in Budawang national park!
It looks like we will be walking around 12 kms per day, with roughly 200-250 m elevation gain per day. No bush bashing involved: we'll be walking along a formed trail. Click this link to see the route :) https://www.google.com/maps/dir/-35.2685719,150.0350771/-35.2751104,150.115905/@-35.2675403,150.0435831,12424m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m2!4m1!3e2
I'm running this as an introductory training hike for members who are interested in my upcoming trip to the Zanskar valley. I will prioritize spots on this trip to those who are seriously considering coming on my zanskar trip. But there should be some room for other club members to come along as well!
If I don't already know you, please write a brief description of your prior experience in bushwalking when you sign up. Also let me know if you have a car/can drive!
Leave anu sport on Saturday morning. Drive to wog wog campground (around 1 hour and 40 mins of driving)
Walk to Corang arch, and set up camp near the arch (possibly Canowie brook but will confirm later this week).
Walk back to wog wog campground via the same route the next day.
