----Cancelled due to bad weather----
This is a beginner back country ski trip. Ideally, though, you'd have experience downhill skiing. Please write to me if you're unsure about your abilities.
We'll be camping at Thredbo Diggins (not snow camping) and heading up to the snow on Sat and Sun as separate day trips.
Itinerary:
Take the Kosciusko express chairlift from Thredbo, find some hills to ski on at the top, possibly go up to Mt Koscisuko and ski down that.
Camp at Thredbo Diggings
Sunday - walk / ski? Up dead horse gap and ski down Thredno's groomed trails.
What to bring?
We'll be car camping in a cold location. The skiing component can be treated as two days trips. Please read this to get an idea of what gear to bring: http://anumc.org.au/activities/skiing
Park at Thredbo, ski up the top of the main range, not too far from Kosciusko Express chair lift. Second day is Dead Horse gap and skiing on thredbo's groomed trails.
