Follow Hume and Hovell Trail from Fitzpatrick Trackhead to Log Bridge Campsite, return same way the next day
Aim of this trip is to walk one section of the Hume and Hovell walking track. We'll leave Canberra on Saturday morning, drive out to Fitzpatrick trackhead and then walk the 12.6km to Log Bridge campsite. The walk is reasonably challenging, with 720m of ascent and 370m of descent.
We'll camp the night at Log Bridge Campsite and then walk back out the same way. Aiming to be back in Canberra by 6pm.
If the weather looks miserable (and people are keen) we can cut out the walking section and just camp at Fitzpatrick trackhead on the Saturday night. There's a picnic shelter here so we can not get too wet but still spend a night camping.
I don't have a car, so this trip going ahead is contingent on somebody with a car signing up.
