UPDATE: The snow isn't looking good in Kiandra so we'll change this to a weekend trip starting via Cesjacks' Hut with possible destinations including Tin Hut and Jagungal.

I'm keen on doing a multiday cross-country trip, possibly up to 4-5 days, at the start of September. Route and duration will depend on interest and snow/weather conditions: it looks like there will be plenty of precipitation between now and the end of the month, just depends how much of it is snow! I'd love to do Kiandra to Guthega Power Station, or all the way to Thredbo, or a hut to hut tour in the area between Schlink and Jagungal. Distances could be long, up to 30km/day, and therefore I've rated this trip as Hard, but that's achievable on flattish terrain in reasonable conditions with good technique and fitness.
At this stage I'm looking for expressions of interest. Please let me know:
- your relevant cross-country skiing experience
- your availability in the range 2-5 days starting Sep 3. I'd prefer a longer trip, but if there's no interest in a longer trip or the conditions aren't worth it then I'd be happy with a weekender.
Apologies for clashing with the Kangaroo Valley Extravaganza, but this is the only window where I can get out before the snow in the area will be well and truly melted!
