On the Sunday of O-week we'll be running a beginner's top roping trip to White Rocks, situated 35 minutes out of Canberra. We'll be meeting at ANU Sport at 9am and carpooling to the crag, with the aim of getting back by 5pm.
If you're an up and coming trad leader, White Rocks is a great place to get in some quality practice. If you're totally new to indoor or outdoor climbing, this is also a great chance go get outdoors and see what it's all about.
Please list your experience and any equipment you need when you sign up. The number of spots available on the trip will depend on the ratio of experienced to non-experienced signups and how many cars we have available.
Attendees will need to source the following gear (if you don't have anything, you can hire the gear at the ANUMC gear store during its opening hours, as listed on this website. If you have further issues, feel free to chuck me an email):
- Sunscreen
- Lunch/food
- Climbing shoes
- Climbing harness
- 2x carabiners
- Belay device
- Helmet
- (Optional): Trad gear
The trip's viability will also be weather dependent, so we will aim to contact you on the Thursday before the trip runs to confirm you have a place and that the trip will go ahead as scheduled.
See you there.
