An alternative for those of us who were looking forward to riding the waves and often sketchy leads up Point Perp*. And anyone else. Y'all welcome to come out to Bywong this Sunday to bake/cook/take home, some small but tasty apples and help me put some bird netting over my berry/vegie patch. Oh, and do some bouldering, route setting, swimming or possibly kayaking in the dam, bush walking, game playing, knot learning, etc etc. Let me know if you want to do some kayak skills and I'll arrange a few to play in. And if you want to go for a little bush walk, bring covered shoes and long pants (there's some beautiful brown coloured snakes). Timing is dependent on who can give lifts, so let me know if you need or can offer a lift and when. I could give people a lift in early Monday if you feel like staying Sunday night.
*Tell me the top section of Rex Hunt's Love Child didn't get your pulse pumping, and I'll call you either a liar or a legend;) But then, I don't remember even so many carrots to clip. I just checked my original guide (When there were only 8 carrots in the entire cliff!), which included a plea to: "keep these cliffs as more (and less) than just another overbolted lycra gymnasium". Sigh. A sentiment lost in the crumbling sandstones of time ...
