Kangaroo Valley Extravaganza - Saturday - Beginner surf lesson (and beach day) at Culburra Beach - $60 each (inc petrol).
This trip is for anyone interested in trying out surfing for the first time, or maybe you've already been a couple of times and you're keen to hone your skills! This is a beginner friendly surfing trip. We will leave camp by 10am on Saturday morning. It's a 1-hour drive to Culburra Beach. Our lesson starts at 11:45am, so we'll have a bit of time to have a nice walk on the beach or get a coffee and a snack.
Our lesson will be with the Culburra Beach Surf School. The cost is $50 per person, which includes:
- Surf lesson
- board hire
- wetsuit hire
You do not need to be a strong swimmer to come on this trip, the instructors have experience helping people with any swimming ability to learn to surf. After the lesson we can spend some more time on the beach, go for a swim or a snorkel (if people have snorkelling gear), and then head back to camp.
Because this trip leaves camp a bit later, this may be a good option for anyone who cannot make it down on Friday night. You could also meet us directly at Culburra Beach.

An additional $10 for anyone not driving to contribute towards petrol.
