ACTRA is holding a 4 hour Winter Rogaine on 19th of July. Sign up for this trip if you are keen to join and looking for a rogaining team. This would be a great opportunity to practice navigation skills and go for a walk/run. Registration will open at the end of June. I'll email everyone who signed up before the date and help you find a teammate (s). Usually, there will be sausage sizzle/other food at the end of the event.
Description:
The Winter 4 hr event will be held in the East Kowen Forest, a favourite rogaining area. Expect fast fire trails, tall or very short pine areas, and some open grassland. Setters Leanne Haupt and Sandy Wilkinson are busy setting the course.
The Hash House will be located at the end of Sparrow Hill Road, approximately 10-12 km from Queanbeyan via the Kings Highway.
The start of the events will be 10:30am on Sunday the 19th of July, concluding at 2:30pm.
