Welcome to the ANU Mountaineering Club!

Welcome to the ANU Mountaineering Club, the largest and most active outdoors club in Canberra! We welcome adults who are keen on outdoor adventures, from climbing to kayaking and everything in between.

How to Sign Up

Step 1: Club membership requires a UniOne account. Instructions for registering with UniOne can be found here .

Step 2: Pay for membership with ANUMC at this link . On that page, click "Join or Renew" and follow the instructions to complete your purchase.

Note: You must be over the age of 18 to join ANUMC.

Step 3: Wait for your membership to be activated.

Our website automatically updates membership records every morning by 10 am. Once you have completed your purchase, please allow until 10 am the following morning for your membership to be processed.

New members will receive an automated email from the ANUMC website with instructions for their first login. This email will be sent to the email address used to create your UniOne account.

If your membership has not been activated by 10 am the following morning, please email our executive team at anumountaineeringclub@gmail.com with your membership receipt so we can investigate.

Using the Climbing Wall

If you would like to use the climbing wall at the ANU Sports Hall, you will need to purchase a wall pass here .

Our website automatically updates wall pass records every morning by 10 am. After purchasing your wall pass, please allow until 10 am the following morning for your access to be activated.

If your wall pass has not been activated by 10 am the following morning, please email anumountaineeringclub@gmail.com with your purchase receipt so we can investigate.

Once your wall pass has been activated, you must complete a belay course before using the climbing wall. A $10 processing fee applies. Further information and instructions for completing the course can be found on our Climbing Wall page .

Important Information for Membership Renewal

Our website automatically updates membership records every morning by 10 am. After renewing your membership through UniOne, please allow until 10 am the following morning for your membership status to be updated.

If your membership has not been updated by 10 am the following morning, please email anumountaineeringclub@gmail.com with your renewal receipt so we can investigate.

Important Information About Your Account

Your username on the ANUMC website is identical to the email address registered with ANU Sport (UniOne). Please use this email address when logging in, including after renewing your membership.

Note for ANU students and alumni: Different ANU email formats, such as firstname.lastname@anu.edu.au and u123456@anu.edu.au, are treated as different usernames. You must use the exact email address registered with ANU Sport.

If you would like to receive club emails at a different address, you can change your receiving email address in your ANUMC account profile . This does not change your login username.
