Hi everyone,
Due to large demand, we are putting up a second beginner surf lession trip as part of KVE. Since this is part of KVE, acceptance will depend on who will be accepted in the bigger trip so make sure you also sign up for that here.
I'll provide more details regarding the timing once you've been accepted to the trip. However, the plan is to drive from the campsite to the beach, have a blast, then drive back to Canberra!
Our lesson will be with the Culburra Beach Surf School. The cost is $50 per person, which includes:
- Surf lesson
- board hire
- wetsuit hire
You do not need to be a strong swimmer to come on this trip, the instructors have experience helping people with any swimming ability to learn to surf. Depending on how the group we feels, we can spend some more time on the beach, go for a swim or a snorkel (if people have snorkelling gear), and then head back to Canberra.
You will need to bring:
- Swimmers
- Towel
- Hat
- Sunscreen
- Water bottle
- Snacks
- $50 in CASH
An additional $10 for anyone not driving to contribute towards petrol.
Priority will be given to those who already signed up to the Saturday trip but were not accepted.
