Archived trip from old website run by Alana
Camping right beside Wallagoot Lake presents the perfect opportunity for a relaxed afternoon paddle. We'll meet at the boat trailer at 3.30pm, put the sea kayaks in the water and paddle around the perimeter of Wallagoot Lake, including an opportunity to explore the inlet (the lake is currently open to the sea) if the water depth and flow conditions are suitable. The paddle looks to be around 8km, so should take a couple of hours.
Please only sign up if you have been to a 'come and try kayaking' session AND at least one follow up session on the lake.
Please be ready to go at 3.30pm wearing clothes that can get wet and will provide adequate sun protection, and bring:
- water
- hat
- sunscreen
- some form of light footwear in case we need to get out of the boats on a rough surface (reef boots, old volleys, runners or tevas - not thongs or barefoot)
- optional: snacks and a camera (waterproof recommended)
This trip is part of the broader coast 'safari', so please make sure you are signed up to that one too: http://anumc.org.au/node/617
