We'll be heading off from Canberra early Saturday morning and catching the Kosciuszko Express Thredbo chairlift up onto the main range. We'll set up camp somewhere (yet to be decided, but possibly near the eastern side of Etheridge ridge) before practicing our telemark turns somewhere nearby.
This will be a beginner trip, but you need the following skills to attend:
* You need to be able to stand on a pair of skis and shuffle forward without face-planting, while carrying a pack (maybe 15 - 20kg?). If you really want to come but can't ski at all, you can snowshoe.
* You need to be able to follow instructions with regards to equipment that you need to bring. I don't want anyone coming that thinks they can live off their own body fat for the weekend.
We'll head back to Canberra around 3, possibly taking the Thredbo supertrail down the mountain (though people can take the chairlift down if they want).

Camp eastern side of Etheridge ridge.
We'll bring epirbs and avalanche beacons.
I intend to have at least another experienced trip leader attend.
