Easy white water paddling trip on the Murrumbidgee this Sunday for both experienced paddlers and those new to white water or wanting some practice. If more experienced paddlers sign up who are happy to help out then there will be more opportunity for people to learn. More experienced paddlers may then continue on to the Red Rocks section of river.
A great trip for those who have been learning to roll and want their first taste of white water.
When you sign up please indicate if you have a car & how many boats it can transport as we may be limited by transportation.
You must be comfortable in a kayak and a strong swimmer (I’d suggest wearing a wetsuit if you’re not confident you won’t swim, the water will be cold). Please let me know your paddling experience when you sign up.
We’ll meet at the Boat shed at 9am this Sunday to load boats and then head to Point hut Island for some practice on the water before completing a run down the river to Pine Island
Depending on the conditions and the level of experience available in the group, some members will continue on to run Red Rocks.
