The idea is to ski from Guthega car park down South of Guthega dam, following the Snowy river. Depending on conditions and skiing ability, we will either play around slopes closer to the car park OR edge further down towards the Paralyser area.
Richard is mentoring. I am trip-leading though and I will be very strict on whether a trip is doable based on skier ability and conditions.
**You will need to have done Seb's AT setup induction, and at least be confident skiing off-piste. Even better you ought to have used AT gear before in the past**
Please put down your skiing experience in the description.
**This trip is mightily dependent on the wind forecast for Saturday**
Forecasts are placing the winds as strong at times to blizzard like conditions. This may be downgraded. IF IT IS DOWNGRADED, WE ARE LIKELY TO GO ON THE TRIP.
If the forecast is not downgraded sufficiently, the back up is to make a decision on the morning and ski at Thredbo. It still may be the case that the winds are too strong and there may be a lift hold at thredbo. If that's the case - we muck around jindabyne for possibly better conditions on the afternoon.
Following Richard's lead take the creek line down south of Guthega creek towards Paralyser area. May not get all the way down to Paralyser.
