Sun’s out, guns out!
The weather is warming up so get out climbing on some real rock.
Depending on the signs up (the experienced to beginner ratio) and what grades people want to climb, we'll figure out the precise destination by email or on the way.
There are good number of routes graded from <10 to >20, so there is probably enough for most people to do in one day.
We will be toproping, but if people are interested and demonstrate appropriate skills and attitudes. There is also the opportunity for experienced climbers to lead routes.
When you sign up, please include your climbing experience and if you can bring a car.
Signing up does not guarantee a spot on the trip - this depends on the experienced to beginner ratios as well as how many cars we are get. There is space for one or two people who have not climbed outdoors before, dependent on number of experienced signups, however all participants must have at least climbed indoors and hold a belay pass.
You will need (most can be hired from gear store): helmet, harness, belay device, locking carabiner, climbing shoes (optional but very useful!), head torch, appropriate clothing for weather, food and water for 1 day.
There will be no pretrip. Plans will be made via email.
A number of people will be staying overnight and climbing on Monday. Please note whether you wish to do this HOWEVER you need to be experienced, self-sufficient, as you won't be supervised.
