Who wants to paddle something more than Lake Burly Griffon!
The plan is to head out to the iconic snowy south of Jindabyne Friday night and return late Sunday. (The campsite is roughly 4 hours from Canberra.) Campsites have firepits and a good source fresh water (needs boiling) next to it.
The plan is to set up a base camp which is right next to the snowy and do smaller day trips on Saturday and Sunday.
The trip is for anyone who is interested in moving water. A roll is always a good thing to have but it is not a must have for this trip. We will focus on teaching paddlers how to move on a flowing river gradually stepping up to faster moving water and rapids. Most of the section is Class 2, 2+ But there is also a small canyon section of class 3 water for those with more experience
The number of paddlers we can take depends on experienced paddlers signing up and on weather we can tow the trailer. Please state your level of paddling and weather you are willing to tow the trailer or drive when signing up.
