Let's head out to Point Perpendicular for a weekend of climbing. We'll leave Canberra Friday evening, stay at Honeymoon Bay on Friday and Saturday nights, and return to on Sunday evening.
This trip is open to those who are experienced and self-sufficient i.e. are confident lead climbing outdoors. If I haven't climbed with you please let me know your level of experience including grades you're happy to lead. Spots on the trip will depend on having enough drivers and experienced climbers; as such signing up does not automatically guarantee a place. We'll likely split in to independent climbing parties each day.
You will need at a minimum:
- Personal climbing gear including harness, locking carabiners, climbing shoes (optional but very useful!), head-torch, helmet (compulsory), chalk, belay device. appropriate clothing for weather, sun protection, insect repellent, and approach shoes.
There will be no pre-trip. Plans will be made via email.

Leave Canberra at 1800 on Friday night and drive to Honeymoon Bay to set up camp. We might quickly get dinner along the way. (We MUST arrive at the Beecroft Weapons Range entrance before 21:30!)
Spend Saturday and Sunday climbing. (Exact climbing spots to be determined later.)
Pack up the campsite and leave Point Perpendicular at around 17:30, possibly get dinner on the way back home, and return to Canberra by 21:00-21:30.
