Two orienteering events on Saturday and Sunday each about an hour outside of Canberra. Each event has a variety of difficulties and distances and is suitable for anyone. Orienteering is a navigation sport where competitors race around a set course as fast as possible.
Saturday at Collector Hill:

North of Canberra to just past Collector (details for getting there are on the website). Starts are anytime between 1pm and 2:30pm with runners having to finish by 4:00pm. The race goes through the bush with lots on interesting rock detail. Online entry has closed, but there is enter on the day options available for 6 of the courses with distances ranging from 6km to 2km with varying navigational difficulty.
