Heading to Nowra Easter Sunday and Monday for some sport climbing. Exact crags will be decided closer to the date (likely on the day). Any self sufficient climbers are welcome to come, but you will need to sort out your own transport, camping and gear. We are staying on a friends property, who does not have any space for more people, so you will need to organize your own accommodation. Alternatively, you could come just for one day and meet us at the crag. We do not have any space for complete beginners.
You will need to bring: helmet, harness, shoes, belay device. Each climbing duo will need a rope and draws.
If I have not climbed with you before, please put your climbing experience in additional information.
Hope some people can make it down and join us for a climb!
- Lucas and Kahlil
We will depart from Canberra on the Sunday morning (approx. 9am) and arrive in Nowra at 11:30 approx.
After parking, we will climb the crags located around the town, using the car to drive to nearby crags when it is convenient to do so. We will be packing lunch for the first day but there will probably be the opportunity to buy it in the township as well. Before dark we will return to the cars and my car will drive to nearby Kangaroo Valley to a property owned by a family friend of one of the trip leaders. Other members may choose to camp at the crag, which is free or there are many great campsites nearby.
In the morning we will return to the crag for several hours climbing until approx. 2pm, when we will get lunch in the town and then head back to Canberra arriving approx. 5:30pm on monday night.
