If you are a club member lucky enough to have a Perisher season pass, here is the chance for a day in the backcountry, with the ski lifts doing a lot of the work.
We will head to the ski resort, and use the lifts to get to the summit of Mt Perisher. From there we can explore the excellent skiing areas around Farm Creek. After some nice runs we can ski down to Guthega and finally return to the car via the lift system.
We will use AT gear from the store - noting there is already an overnight trip planned, so this trip will be limited to one car. If you have a season pass you're assumed to have skiing experience, but just to be sure, the Mt Perisher area is only blue runs, so you need to be comfortable skiing on those slopes.
Planning details: We've scheduled for Sunday 4th, but if the weather changes, we could move this to Saturday. Also, the plan is to leave very early in the morning, but I'm open to going down the night before and camping at Island Bend to beat the traffic.
