Archived trip from old website run by Patrick Wiltshire
Spring conditions means longer days and softer snow so there's no better time to try for the steeper stuff. The plan is to leave Friday arvo driving up to guthega where we will either camp or push on to higher spot. From their conditions depending we'll have a crack at the sentinel and or other western runs.
The sentinel is pretty steep and will require a boot pack out so you will need to be a strong skier i.e. double black resort. Some inspiration here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3X4yGkA2dxE
We'll be snow camping so when signing up please indicate whether you've done so before and your touring experience. Please also indicate whether you can drive.
