It's that time of year again!
We'll be having our Annual General Meeting on Tuesday the 25th of October at the Civic Pub, Lonsdale St . All members are invited, and it's here that we will elect next year's executive team and announce awards. Please sign up to this trip to indicate your attendance so we know how many people to expect. Snacks and drinks will be provided.
The entrance opens up 6:00pm with a 6:10pm start.

Award Nominations (Deadline 15th October):
Anyone can nominate someone for an award. Please send nominations to mountaineering@anusra.com.au with a short text outlining why this person deserves the nomination
The Axe
Established in 1999, the Axe recognises outstanding personal contributions to the Club. The award is represented by a wood handled ice axe which, back in the 1970s, was one of several in the ANUMC gearstore and was likely to have been used on various club mountaineering expeditions to New Zealand and Nepal. Was awarded last year to Steve Lade
Trip Leader of the Year
Awarded to a member who's run a good quantity of quality trips with the club. Last year this was awarded to Chini Datta
Up and Coming Trip leader of the year
A member who has transitioned from participant to leader, and is starting to run some awesome trips and pass on their knowledge. Last year this was awarded to Nicky Boyce
Beginner of the Year
A new member who's really gotten involved in the Club, learning new skills and trying new outdoor activities. Last year this was awarded to Natalie Tegtman

The Geographical Discombobulation Award for Contributions to Navigational Excellence
Someone with an aptitude for getting lost and waylaid
The Faff Award for Wasting Time in the Bush
Needs no further explanation. The recipient is gifted a very large ornate clock to help them stay on time next year. Last year this was awarded to Xavier Anderson
Culinary Award for achievement or accidents in camp cuisine
Witnessed any wonderful (or otherwise) cooking on a trip? Dob in the creative chef for their cooking achievements. Last year this was awarded to Byron Muir
Best Route Set(ter)
Nominate your favourite route at the ANUMC climbing wall, and the person who set it (if you know). This is a new award for 2022.
