The time is rolling around for another fun-filled weekend in the Kangaroo valley, visiting nearby crags, canyons, bushwalks, and paddling on the nearby waterways.
We have left things a little later than usual, so we will be aiming for the 21st to 25th of April, which will go from the Friday evening until ANZAC day on Tuesday. People are welcome to come for a subset of the days. The idea will be to ensconce ourselves in the lovely Bendeela recreation area campsite and make something of an ANUMC tent city. From there we will be venturing out to nearby destinations during the day, before convening back at camp for dinner, drinks if that is your wont, and general good vibes.
Any experience level welcome, and more ready hands to help organise trips are always welcome. Please provide in your registration some detail of your experience, and whether you'd be willing to drive for the weekend.
At a minimum you will need to bring:
- Tent
- Sleeping bag
- Food
- Plenty of water (this can be refilled at the campsite)
- Cooking equipment
- A decent day-pack
Gear specific to individual trips will be hired by us, so no need to worry about harnesses, wetsuits, etc.. Please feel free to organise to share tents. You can do this in the KVE slack channel. EDIT: The Slack channel can be accessed through this link. Just tag me (Terence Johnson) in the general channel and I'll add you to the KVE channel. This will be much much easier than waiting for me to add you otherwise.
Get keen!
