The ACT 8 and 24 hour rogaining championships (NOT JUST FOR CHAMPIONS) will be held about one hour south-east of Canberra at Wild Cattle Flat. Your team can go fully wild for 24 hours or just feral for 8 hours.
There are usually quite a few ANUMC teams entering, so it's a good opportunity to hang out with your ANUMC friends or make new ones. 24 hour rogaines are particularly social, with dinner and breakfast being great opportunities to chat about routes and navigational disasters. The 8 hr contestants can rest easy, sit around and chat while they wait for their 24 hr counterparts to come in early with a broken toe.

COMPETITIVE TEAMS WHOSE TEAM CONSISTS ENTIRELY OF STUDENTS/PHDS FROM ONE ACT UNIVERSITY - Represent your ACT university at the Intervarsity Rogaining Championships in October
The ACT has a strong and proud history in intervarsity rogaining. The 2015 championships will be held in conjunction with the Australian Championships 10-11 October in lovely sandstone country at Capertree National Park, 3.5 hours west of Sydney. Note that there are no prequalification requirements for intervarsity rogaining, as long as team members are from the same university – so all such teams are encouraged to enter.
The Nigel Aylott Memorial Sports Foundation funds the entry and travel costs of one team from each state/territory. Teams wishing to be considered for this support should register their interest with Julie Quinn before they compete in the ACT Champs. The best performing intervarsity candidate team at the ACT 24 hour championships (5/6 September) will receive this support. ACTRA will also support up to another two teams, depending on performances at the ACT championships, paying 75% of their entry and travel costs.
While ANU representation has been strong in the past, we would encourage teams to enter from ANU, ADFA, the University of Canberra, or any other eligible tertiary institution.
